Estate amounts stay in the browser

The estate and inheritance calculation functions run on your device. The calculation code does not upload entered estate values, gift history, deductions, recipient relationships or payments. It does not save those values in an account, cookie or browser storage. Closing or reloading a page can therefore reset the form. A correction report is an intentional submission and has a separate storage policy described below.

First-party usage events

The website sends usage events to its own endpoint and records them in an events table. Fields include the event time, day, site, page pathname, event category, a bounded interaction label, a random page-view identifier, referrer website host, broad country and device categories, page template and acquisition categories. Calculator amounts are not event fields. The identifier belongs to a single page load and is not persisted in a cookie. Referrer paths, query strings and search terms are not sent by the event code. Incoming user-agent text is used to filter automated traffic and is discarded rather than saved in that table.

Reader corrections

The corrections table contains the server time and day, website, affected pathname, category, report message, optional reply address and processing status. These are values the reader chooses to send. The endpoint does not store an IP address or user agent with a correction. Avoid putting personal estate information into the message. A reply address is optional and is not needed for a successful receipt. We have not published a fixed deletion period; do not treat this channel as confidential document storage.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare delivers the static pages and runs the first-party endpoints and database. Hosting and security services necessarily process network requests under their own practices, separate from the fields our application deliberately records. Requests can expose a requested URL to the hosting infrastructure, so avoid placing personal figures in a URL. The site currently loads no advertising code. Government citations lead to independently operated sites whose privacy and logging practices may differ.

Choices and questions

You can read the sources and run the calculations without registering or submitting a report. If you choose to contact us, send only the minimum anonymized example needed to explain the issue. Browser or network controls can block analytics without changing the arithmetic performed locally. The corrections page provides the publisher channel for questions about the application. This disclosure describes the current implementation and is updated when the actual collection or service integrations change.
